Hitchcock Houndstooth Dress

This dress is somewhat tailored and has a timeless appeal. It is well-made and looks great with a wide belt at the waist. I am 5'8", size 7, fairly average build. I ordered a medium. The dress does bulge out a bit around the waist on me, where I do believe it could have been nipped in a bit. The belt helps but there is some bunching of fabric that is bothersome. There are no photos of the back, which I was concerned about before I purchased it. There is no kick pleat or side split, which would have been nice. The pockets you see at the hip continue around to the back. The collar at the back is average; no special look there. The one thing that was disappointing is that the color I received was NOT this beautiful gray shown. The fabric was COMPLETELY different...not the soft medium gray featured but a dark charcoal color with a slight herringbone pattern. I realize that fabric can sometimes vary with each "batch," but I wish that more effort would have been made to match the featured dress. A nice dress overall though.
