Hesse Day Dress

I ordered this to be a 'wear anywhere' dress-- good for the office, ladylike at lunch, the symphony perhaps? The material is nice and sturdy with a lovely drape, and I really appreciate that it came with a slip lining. The collar is just retro enough without overdoing it and creates a beautiful neckline. My only two (minor) complaints are these: 1. the sleeves are slightly wider than I expected and are creased in a manner that makes them stick out a bit (perhaps from the packaging?). Hopefully, they will relax or I can steam it out (which, I admit, I haven't tried to do yet). 2. The crossover front of the bodice snaps closed. Since the snaps are pretty tiny, I find that the top one pulls when I move (and I am by no means especially busty!). I think an added hook and eye closure should do the trick. If I could, I'd give it 4.5 stars, but I'm afraid I'll have to round down.
